Castle Number 4 Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. River Fork Camper Park is a fine local campground; you can run the rapids of Rio Grande. Lake Fork Gunnison River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Castle Number 4 Reservoir, and do take a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. Rock Lake is in the neighborhood, and hey, Big Buck Creek is a nice local stream. Castle Number 4 Reservoir is regularly a pretty dehydrated spot; through August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
Be careful coming to Castle Number 4 Reservoir, you might not ever want to return home again. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Black Mountain Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cebolla Trail.
