The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Glacier Basin Campground, and the sights at Rocky Mountain National Park will blow your mind. There are tremendous places to explore along the Finch Lake-Pear Reservoir Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Saint Vrain Creek - North offers some good whitewater. If you want a great time in the great outdoors       just come on up to the Front Range. Going for a hike on the Bluebird Lake Trail is always a tremendous adventure; if you need a site to stay Marys Lake Lodge is a glorious choice. Any time is a good time at Castle Lakes if you like the outdoors. Chiefs Head Peak can be observed from Castle Lakes, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Ouzel Creek. There are some fine whitewater spots on Boulder Creek, obviously you could also have a look at Castle                  Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This spot is peerless, just explore all the cool things to do close to Castle Lakes. You need to have a look at Keyboard of the Winds if you're here at Castle Lakes, and everyone close by loves skiing at Berthoud Pass. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Winter Park are so inviting noone can resist, and Wild Basin is a magnificent place. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Front Range. A magnificent site to camp here at Castle Lakes is Longs Peak Campground, and a nice nearby hotel is Peak To Peak Lodge Inc.. At Castle Lakes you don’t see much precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is November. Near Castle Lakes you stumble on the Lion Lake Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and if you've had enough of Castle Lakes, Lion Lake Number 1 is nearby. Summertime highs at Castle Lakes usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Castle Lakes overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. You definitely must have a thing about the Front Range.
