Near Castle Creek Ponds you hit upon the Cache Creek Access Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Castle Creek Ponds is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Anderson Camps LTD is a delightful local campground. This is a good region for people who like lakes. G G Upper Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity,       and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Colorado River. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is beautiful, you acquire a great sight of Castle Peak from Castle Creek Ponds. There's so much to do here at Castle Creek Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, River Dance RV Resort is a tremendous site for that. Castle Creek Ponds gets very little rain; most of the snow falls through March, and June is the month with the least moisture. The South                  Derby Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Castle Creek Ponds; dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Eagle, Co. At Castle Creek Ponds during the summer months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Castle Creek Ponds descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
