     Cartwheel Reservoir is regularly a reasonably dehydrated location; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Cartwheel Reservoir, for example Mud Spring Reservoir, and a fine nearby hotel is Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge.
Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Cartwheel Reservoir. Take a hike on the
 
   Dry Creek Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Miguel River. Hiking along the Paradox Road is brilliant fun, and swing by North Creek it's a wonderful location to take a look at. This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Cartwheel Reservoir is right next door to Saint Joe Draw which is certainly worth checking out,
 
               and San Miguel River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Summertime at Cartwheel Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows at Cartwheel Reservoir during the winter usually fall into the 0's. Man, is there a lot of exciting things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cartwheel Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Antone Spring Campground; Gutshall Spring is an inspiring spot to stop at while here.
Cartwheel Reservoir is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Iron Spring Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Montrose. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too tremendous to be true. Lakes? Sure, Goat Pen Reservoir is nearby; Cartwheel Reservoir is right by the Horsefly Trail.
