Carter Lake Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Carter Lake Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Good hiking is available along the Round Mountain Trail; if you've had enough of Carter Lake Reservoir, Flatiron Reservoir is nearby. Carter Lake Reservoir is pretty arid commonly; most of the rain falls through May; the driest month is January.

| | get enough of the Front Range. Bighorn Moutain Lodge is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and camping at Carter Lake Reservoir is good fun, Carter Valley Campgrounds is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a tremendous little trip to Cottonwood Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Longmont/Twin Peaks Super 8 Motel. The Crosier Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best.

Range. Get soaked paddling on Big Thompson River; Flatiron Dam is a charming location, absolutely worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Carter Lake Reservoir; Jug Trail is a delightful
local trail, and Carter Lake Reservoir is a fine spot to camp, Riverview RV Park and Campground is a fine spot. A great place to stop by near Carter Lake Reservoir is Chimney Hollow, and on a lovely day you obtain a nice panorama
of Flatiron Mountain from Carter Lake Reservoir.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Carter Lake Reservoir, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the
40's with temperatures at Carter Lake Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Saint Vrain Creek - North, and lots of people from Fort Collins-Loveland come here.
