Many people like to go to Carter Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Carter Creek right next door to Carter Lake is a pleasant idea, and dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch. Gold Park Campground is a splendid local campground; there's whitewater on Eagle River for all you adrenaline junkies.

| | regularly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Carter Lake. All the outdoors amusing things in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back time and again. Why not camp at Elk Wallow Campground since you're here at Carter Lake, and the slopes of Beaver Creek are so inviting noone can resist. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore | |

Savage Lakes if you're here at Carter Lake; it's close by, and Savage Peak can be made out from Carter Lake.
This place, Carter Lake, it truly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Don't leave Carter Lake without first going for
a hike along the Half Moon Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Ski Cooper is a great site to do that. Going for a hike on the Last Chance Trail is always a great adventure, and during your trip here you'll meet some people from Edwards
for sure. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. Go for a hike on the Lake Charles Trail; if you need a site to stay Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a great choice.
But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Carter
Lake. Carter Lake gets very little rain; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Fryingpan River; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Blodgett Lake is just a very short distance away.
