Carneros Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Man, is there a lot of entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Carneros Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Peaks Trail. So much amusing stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Eldora, and the Culebra Range casts its shadow over Carneros Lake. Carneros Lake is typically a reasonably       dry location; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Indian Trail offers hiking at its best; Blue Lakes Campground is a great campground here. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Culebra Peak is easily made out from Carneros Lake, and camping at Carneros Lake is fine fun, Potato Patch Campground is a fine local campground. Throughout the                  summertime months at Carneros Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Carneros Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's.
