Just can't get enough of the Medicine Bow Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Jewel Lake is nearby, and float down the rapids of Cache La Poudre River in a kayak. High temperatures at Carey Lake through the warm months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures       dip down into the 30's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 20's while Carey Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Hiking along the Blue Lake Trail is perfect fun; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Kelly Lake. At Carey Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January.
