Carey Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Carey Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. That right there is a lot of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Medicine Bow Mountains has it all. For the period of the summer at Carey Lake highs are frequently in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Carey Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. Peak.
Carey Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Carey Lake
is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Tunnel Campground is a delightful local campground, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the North Fork Trail. There are some great whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River, and close by you hit upon the West Branch Trail which is a good hiking trail.
