     The beauty of Capitol Lake attracts many people from all around. Why not camp at Meri-daes RV Park and General Store since you're here at Capitol Lake; the Blue Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Throughout the warm months highs here at Capitol Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Capitol  
   Lake plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Avalanche Lake is in close proximity, and after a long day outdoors Laurelwood Condominiums is a good place to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Avalanche Campground is a good location to camp. Hit the slopes at Irwin Lodge in the vicinity; at Capitol Lake you can make out Capitol Peak. This place, Capitol Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors
 
               exciting stuff. Get covered with water paddling on Crystal River, and if you need a site to stay Wildwood Lodge is a pleasant choice.
The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Aspen Highlands, and Capitol Lake is right by the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway. Paddling on Crystal River - North Fork is so much fun, and there's great hiking along the Trail Riders Trail. At Capitol Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow while June is ordinarily the driest month.
