After a long day outdoors Historic Rio Grande Southern is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Mc Phee Mobile Home and RV Park. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Campbell Reservoir. If you haven’t been to Mesa Verde National Park, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here; you can run the rapids of Dolores River. Through the warm days of summer here at       Campbell Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Campbell Reservoir drop into the 10's. The Ormiston Point Stock Driveway offers hiking at its best, and a perfect location to camp here at Campbell Reservoir is Dolores River RV Park. A magnificent nearby hotel is Dunton Hot Springs, and there's                  great hiking along the McPhee Stock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Dolores River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Campbell Reservoir; Stoner Stock Trail is a great local trail. Campbell Reservoir gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
