This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Longmont Koa Kampground is a brilliant place to camp; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Longmont/Twin Peaks is a perfect location to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summer highs here at Calkins Reservoir reach the 80's. Once       the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows at Calkins Reservoir during the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Niwot Inn is a wonderful choice. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you come at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some pleasant whitewater, and a round of golf at nearby Ute Creek                  Golf Course is a great way to kill some time. Drift down the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - North in a kayak; Calkins Reservoir is right by the Saddle Rock Trail. While you're here at Calkins Reservoir you will meet lots of people from nearby Boulder, and Calkins Lake is a brilliant lake nearby. Take a hike on the Mesa Trail, and B and B Mobile and RV Park is a brilliant local campground.
