At Standley Lake Dam near Calkins Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and there's tremendous hiking along the Saddle Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Westminster Promenade, and don't leave Calkins Lake without first going for a hike along the Beaver Brook Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs                  in the 80's to Calkins Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Calkins Lake drop into the 10's. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Calkins Lake. Lots of people from Boulder come to Calkins Lake. There's so much to do here at Calkins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, The Prospect RV Park is a perfect location for that. If you came to camp Prospect RV Park is a nice site to do that, and Clear Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
