Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Kannah Creek, and a magnificent close by hotel is Goldenwoods Condo Assn.. Summertime highs at Cabin Reservoir typically tend to be in the 90's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Cabin Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.       Camping is available at Grand Junction/Clifton KOA; you might also want to pay a visit to The Blowout while you're here at Cabin Reservoir. Cabin Reservoir gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly October, that's the one that rains the most, and January is the month with the least moisture. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cabin Reservoir; Whitewater Basin Trail is a great local trail, and if you need a place to stay Mesa View                  Motel is a great choice. Cabin Reservoir is right by the West Bench Trail; Palisade Cabin Dam is an exciting thing to check out. You absolutely have to like Cabin Reservoir. If you came for an overnight stay Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a glorious place to camp, and the Spring Camp Trail offers hiking at its best. The fine people of Grand Junction like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kannah Creek, and if you get bored of Cabin Reservoir you could also check out close by Palisade Cabin Reservoir.
