     While you're here at Cabin Lake you can take a hike along the High Foot Trail, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Star Lake. Yeah, come here to Cabin Lake for a tremendous time. If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a good choice; you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Powderhorn. Throughout the months of summer at Cabin Lake highs are mostly in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime  
   highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Cabin Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you came to camp Eggleston Campground is a pleasant spot to do that, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Lily Lake Trail.
Cabin Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is January. A brilliant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Delta. Hiking along
 
               the Crag Crest Trail is magnificent fun. There's so much to do here at Cabin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kiser Creek Campground is a brilliant site for that.
This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Barren Lake next to Cabin Lake is a great place to have a look at, and the scenery at Cabin Lake Dam is lovely.

Hiked into Crater Lake on 6/23/07. Caught three 12' cutthroat trout, and had a much larger trout strike my lure a couple of times (not hard enough for me to set the hook). Beautiful place, but the mosquitos ate me alive....
