All through the months of summer at Byron Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Byron Lake plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Clear Creek. There's so much to       do here at Byron Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Robbers Roost Campground is a good spot for that. A perfect panorama of beautiful Breckinridge Peak is available from Byron Lake; Upper Chinns Dam is a pretty place. At Byron Lake you don’t see much rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February. If the weather is good here at Byron Lake, you can go for a hike along the James Peak                  Lake Trail, and Winter Park has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. A gorgeous lake like Bill Moore Lake close to Byron Lake is a good location to take a look at; if you came to camp Spruce Lodge Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Sevenmile Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Iron Horse Resort is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Ethel Lake is a magnificent lake next to Byron Lake. This place, Byron Lake, it simply has so much outdoors exciting stuff. While you're here at Byron Lake you can take a hike along the Mary Jane Ski Trail; Berthoud Pass is a very popular ski area around here.
