The beauty of Byron Lake is reason enough to stop by. While you're here at Byron Lake you can take a hike along the James Peak Lake Trail; a great location for whitewater paddling is Clear Creek. Winterpark Mountain Lodge is a perfect location to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Byron Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Robbers Roost Campground is a splendid site for that. A lake nearby is Bill Moore Lake; you can have a great hiking adventure

A delightful close by hotel is The Peck House; do take a hike on the Sevenmile Ski Trail. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great planet it would be. Breckinridge Peak is a peak you can see from Byron Lake, and you can take a little trip to Upper Chinns Dam since you're here at Byron Lake.

nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Byron Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a
bad day of skiing at nearby Winter Park, and Byron Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Spruce Lodge Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Clear Creek - West Fork in
close proximity to Byron Lake; Berthoud Pass has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff.
Byron Lake is pretty dried up generally; during August this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
