The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Powderhorn, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Butts Lake; High Foot Trail is a magnificent local trail. This place, Butts Lake, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. You can take a little tour to Little Eggleston Dam since you're here at Butts Lake, and if you came to camp Eggleston Lake Campground is a good spot to do that. Not much rain       falls here at Butts Lake; October is the wettest month with most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Delta. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Butts Lake with nighttime lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Butts Lake. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a delightful place                  to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Lily Lake Trail. The Crag Crest Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Eggleston Campground is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful.
