Go to Butter Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You clearly must go for the Park Range. On a good day at Butter Lake you can take a hike along the Green Ridge Trail; if you need a site to stay Elk Run Inn is a tremendous choice. Deadman Draw is a brilliant location to spend some time at, and if you came to camp Battle Creek Campground is a fine site to do that. Yeah, come here to Butter Lake for a fine time.

| | the Park Range. At Butter Lake you don’t see much rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. All through the summertime months here at Butter Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Butter Lake.

to spend more than a day at, Little Sandstone Campground is a pleasant local campground; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Bears Ears Trail. While you're here at Butter Lake you can take a hike along the Sandstone Divide Trail; let's not forget Fly Creek which is a stream that you may run into while you're here.
