Butte Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Circle The wagons RV Park is a good local campground, and after a long day outdoors Knights Inn Walensburg is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Having a tremendous time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is painless. There's       so much to do here at Butte Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a pleasant spot for that, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Rambler is a splendid choice. Not much rainfall falls here at Butte Reservoir; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. Through the warm months here at Butte Reservoir, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and the nighttime                  is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Butte Reservoir drop into the 0's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Butte Reservoir. Echo Canyon is close to Butte Reservoir and is positively a wonderful place to visit, and the Black Hills Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Grandote Peaks Golf Course. Head up to Eldora and strap some skis to your feet, and on a delightful day you obtain a good vista of Goemmer Butte from Butte Reservoir. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you're addicted to cool geologic marks, try Profile Rock, and close by you stumble on the Wade Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
