At Butte Lake you don’t see much rain; September is when you get the most rain here while February is ordinarily the driest month. So many fun things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, just mind-blowing. Camping is available at Black Canyon Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Ouray. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Butte Lake without first checking out Butte Rock.       There's whitewater on Cimarron River for all you adrenaline kick people; the peak of Horse Mesa can be made out from Butte Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Alpine Trail, and Mack Lake is a nice lake close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area close to Butte Lake has to offer. You can run the rapids of Cimarron River in the neighborhood of Butte Lake, and do take a hike on the Little                  Cimarron Trail. Hiking along the Deer Creek Trail is wonderful fun. Lakes? Sure, Stink Lake is in the neighborhood. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Moore Pasture is a charming site any time of year, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Cimarron Campground is a nice location to camp. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Throughout the warm days of summer at Butte Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
