Butte Lake is a lake worth visiting. Not much precipitation falls here at Butte Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Lake Fork Resort is a glorious choice. For the period of the summertime at Butte Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the

| | winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Butte Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cimarron River, and after a long day outdoors Cimarron Inn & Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. Trail offers hiking at its best. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Butte Lake. From Butte Lake you obtain a fine vista of Horse Mesa, and since you're here at Butte Lake, checking out Butte Rock
is a must.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the San Juan Mountains. Camping at Butte Lake is great fun, Black Canyon Campground is a great local campground, and Butte Lake is right
by the Deer Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. Stink Lake is a tremendous lake next to Butte Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Little Cimarron Trail.

Campground is a great campground here; if you come at the right time of year, Cimarron River offers some delightful whitewater.
