    It's always fun to stop by Burnt Logs Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Country West Motel is a pleasant location to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Burnt Logs Reservoir, Iron Spring Reservoir is nearby. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Burnt Logs Reservoir called the Lost Canyon Stock Driveway, and don't miss out on a spree to Mesa Verde National Park if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Burnt Logs Reservoir is a wonderful  
   place to camp, The Forks Campground is a wonderful place, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Stoner Stock Trail.
Very scenic scenery and great skiing is what you get at Hesperus Ski Center; if you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some delightful whitewater. A perfect nearby hotel is Dunton Hot Springs, and Wilkerson Spring is a good local attraction. This place, Burnt Logs Reservoir, it completely has so much outdoors enjoyable
 
               stuff. Near Burnt Logs Reservoir you come across the Chicken Creek Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; you can stay the night at Dolores River RV Park.
This lake is so wonderful. Not much rainfall falls here at Burnt Logs Reservoir; the month with most of the rain is October; June meanwhile is the driest month. During the days of summer at Burnt Logs Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Burnt Logs Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
