Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Burnt Lake. Glide down the rapids of Cimarron River in a kayak, and hiking along the Little Cimarron Trail is glorious fun. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains is so good! A glorious       nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Ouray. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Alpine Trail, and do take a look at Swanson Lake, it's a stunning lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Burnt Lake; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. Burnt Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Why not camp at Big Blue Campground since you're here at Burnt Lake, and you can have a                  wonderful hiking adventure along the Fall Creek Trail. Summer at Burnt Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Burnt Lake sink into the 10's. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more exciting things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
