Go for a hike on the Dragon Douglas Trail; if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yampa River. It is very dried up here at Burning Mine Reservoir ordinarily; most of the rain falls all through October, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Rock Shale Reservoir, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is White River.
