Burke Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Burke Lake is Boulder Creek - South, and there's fine hiking along the Green Mountain Trail. Burke Lake is pretty dried out ordinarily; most of the rain falls through May, and January is the month with the least moisture. | | great location for that, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Indian Peaks Golf Course.
A glorious close by hotel is Hampton Inn Boulder - Louisville, and get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Boulder Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Burke Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Burke Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's.
