Castle Rock Reservoir is a wonderful lake near Bullfrog Reservoir, and Bullfrog Reservoir       is a great site to visit for more than one day, T Bone Spring Campground is a great site to camp nearby. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Escalante Creek; there are plenty of people from Montrose here. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a sight of 25 Mesa from Bullfrog Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Best Western Sundance is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. It is very dry here at Bullfrog Reservoir generally; August is when you get the                  most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Take a hike on the Cottonwood Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on San Miguel River. Bullfrog Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Monitor Mesa Trail is splendid fun; Smokehouse Campground is a delightful local campground. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Round Park Reservoir in the vicinity of Bullfrog Reservoir, and delightful water scenery is available at Bullfrog Dam close to Bullfrog Reservoir. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Bullfrog Reservoir. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's.
