On a tremendous day at Bull Lake you can take a hike along the High Trail, and there's whitewater on Sweetwater Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. At Bull Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the snow is March while June is generally the driest month. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Bull Lake.       Not far from Bull Lake, you'll hit upon Star Lake which is a beautiful lake, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the South Derby Trail. The summit of W Mountain can be spotted from Bull Lake; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Ute Trail. Bull Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Sweetwater Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Bucks Campground;                  a good nearby hotel is Oak Tree Inn Yampa. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Bull Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's.
