What a nice lake Buffehr Lake is. If you come at the right time of year, Arkansas River offers some good whitewater, and while you're here, you could have a look at McNulty Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Buffehr Lake is great fun, Black Lakes Campground is a great local campground; nearby Fremont Pass is a brilliant site to go. Dry warm beds await you at Hitchin Post Motel, and why not camp at Kite Lake Campground if you're here at Buffehr Lake.

| | And that's not all you can do here at Buffehr Lake. Buffehr Lake is near Chalk Mountain Dam which is a striking location undeniably worth checking out, and the great folks of Silverthorne like to hang out close by. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Copper Mountain while you're here, and at Buffehr Lake you can catch a glimpse of Carbonate Hill. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Buffehr Lake has it all.

at Buffehr Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Buffehr Lake. You can never get
enough of the magnificent skiing at Breckenridge; on a good day you can take a hike along the Wheeler Trail. Going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you need a spot to stay
Copper Mountain Resort is a nice choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Chalk Lake near Buffehr Lake; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Miners Creek Trail.
Buffehr Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest.
