Breckenridge has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Copper Mountain, and you can distinguish Carbonate Hill from Buffehr Lake. Some close by water includes McNulty Creek; at Chalk Mountain Dam near Buffehr Lake there are some out       of the ordinary things to see. Since you're here at Buffehr Lake why not explore Fremont Pass. There's so much to do here at Buffehr Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kite Lake Campground is a splendid location for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Miners Creek Trail, and if you're visiting from Silverthorne, you won't be the only one. After a long day outdoors Timber Creek Condominums                  is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Lakes are magnificent; Chalk Mountain Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Buffehr Lake. Buffehr Lake is pretty waterless mostly; through the month of July you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Robinson Tailings Pond is one of those close by. Take a hike on the Wheeler Trail; if you came to camp Black Lakes Campground is a magnificent place to do that. All through the summertime highs here at Buffehr Lake reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Buffehr Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do right next door to Buffehr Lake.
