The beauty of Buckles Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Buckles Lake. Buckles Lake is right by the V Rock Trail. Lakes are great; Harris Lake is a lake that's next to Buckles Lake.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Buckles Lake; the night is a bit cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. Throughout the

| | winter this place gets highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Buckles Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. V Rock is an exciting place to visit while at Buckles Lake. There's so much to do here at Buckles Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Blanco River Campground is a good spot for that. The Leche Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and Harris Lake Dam is delightful.

get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls during August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp The Last Resort RV Park and Campground is a splendid spot to
do that, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Blanco River Trail. There are some good whitewater spots on Rio Blanco, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co is a perfect choice.
This site,
the San Juan Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Navajo River; V Mountain is clearly visible from Buckles Lake. So many enjoyable things to do in the San Juan Mountains, not sufficient time. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Wolf Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Best Value High Country Lodge.
