Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Buckles Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little trip to Harris Lake Dam since you're here at Buckles Lake; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Blanco River Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You get a fine vista of V Mountain from Buckles Lake, and Navajo River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby.

| | Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Buckles Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Acres Green RV Park is a great local campground, and nearby you come across the V Rock Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. It is very dry here at Buckles Lake mostly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is June. V Rock is an attention-grabbing | |

thing to observe while you're here at Buckles Lake, and after a long day outdoors Oak Ridge Lodge is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This
lake is so wonderful. The Leche Creek Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Buckles Lake. Lakes are perfect; Gardner Lake is a lake that's close to Buckles Lake. So much fun stuff near Buckles Lake, absolutely mind-boggling.
There's so much to do here at Buckles Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Blanco River Campground is a pleasant place for that; not far from Buckles Lake you'll locate Opal Lake which is a gorgeous lake. All through the
long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Buckles Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Buckles Lake night low temperatures
throughout the winter are in the 0's. A brilliant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Blanco.
