     There are good spots to explore along the Deer Creek Trail, and a perfect nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Montrose. There's great hiking along the Courthouse Trail, and at Buckhorn Lake Number 2 you can make out Storm King. During the summertime months highs here at Buckhorn Lake Number 2 reach the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Buckhorn  
   Lake Number 2. Camping at Beaver Lake Campground is always a great experience, and if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a good choice.
Buckhorn Lake Number 2 is a location that is quite dry regularly; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Don't leave Buckhorn Lake Number 2 without first going for a hike along the Lou Creek Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cimarron River.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a picturesque lake called Buckhorn Lake Number 1 near Buckhorn Lake Number 2.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Buckhorn Lake Number 2 has to offer. A pretty lake like Buckhorn Lakes in the neighborhood of Buckhorn Lake Number 2 is a good spot to go to, and there are some great whitewater spots on Cimarron River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Big Cimarron Campground is a great place to do that, and Castle Rock is an attention-grabbing thing to make out while you're here.
