Buck Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Glide down the rapids of Dolores River in a kayak, and going for a hike on the McPhee Stock Trail is always a nice adventure. Just can't get enough of Buck Reservoir. Buck Reservoir is a delightful location to camp, The Forks Campground is a delightful location, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Cortez, Co. This lake is so wonderful. Lone Mesa is lovely and can be distinguished from Buck Reservoir, and a lake nearby is Border Reservoir. For the duration of the summer highs here at Buck Reservoir reach the 90's.
