Buck Lake is typically a relatively waterless location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most snow, and June is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a great choice, naturally you could also go to Crater Lake if you're here;       it's not far at all. Good hiking is available along the Ute Trail, and a lake nearby is Star Lake. You clearly have to like Buck Lake. W Mountain is a peak you can spot from Buck Lake, and you can run the rapids of Grizzly Creek. For the period of the months of summer here at Buck Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's; the night is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come                  with lows in the 0's to Buck Lake. Go for a hike on the High Trail; camping at Anderson Camps LTD is always a perfect experience.
