While you're here at Buck Lake, you could also stop at gorgeous Rim Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Roaring Fork. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Buck Lake has to offer, you can camp at Gypsum Creek Campground, and lots of folks from Edwards come here. All through the       summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Buck Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Buck Lake tend to be in the 0's. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Sawatch Range rocks! Near Buck Lake you stumble on the Blue Creek Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and the skiing at Aspen Mountain                  is delightful. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Buck Lake. There's so much to do here at Buck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rocky Fork Campground is a pleasant spot for that; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Aspen Highlands is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Bull Park is a great spot here at Buck Lake; a short tour to Sourdough Spring is always worthwhile. So much amusing stuff near Buck Lake, just mind-blowing. Take a little trip to Sourdough Creek since you're here at Buck Lake; if you come at the right time of year, -blank- offers some great whitewater. After a long day outdoors Snowmass Lodging Company is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two, and Sundell Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out. Schoolhouse Gulch is close to Buck Lake and is definitely a great site to pop by, and Sugarloaf is clearly visible from Buck Lake. Having a great time in the Sawatch Range is painless. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Buck Lake called the Antone Trail. Buck Lake gets very little rain; most of the rain falls during April, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
