Crown Point is easy to spot from Browns Lake; there are some great whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River. Browns Lake is ordinarily a pretty dry place; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is December. Bighorn Cabins is a brilliant site to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Browns Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Long Draw Campground is a perfect       spot for that. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Browns Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Browns Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. After a long day outdoors Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; do pay a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park while you're here at                  Browns Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Dadd Gulch Trail. But wait, there's more to do close to Browns Lake. Stay the night at Big Bend Campground, and there's magnificent hiking along the Flowers Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
