Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the destinations near Browns Lake that are good to go to. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cache La Poudre       River; you can stay the night at Long Draw Campground. During the summer at Browns Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Browns Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
