Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. There's great hiking along the Indian Trail; Brown Park is a splendid place. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a splendid time. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Eldora; a splendid nearby hotel is Knights Inn Walensburg. Brown Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This is       no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Brown Lake; Peaks Trail is a pleasant local trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Bear Canyon while you're here at Brown Lake. West Fork North Fork Purgatoire River is a stream that you may come across while you're here, and Potato Patch Campground is a tremendous local campground. At Brown Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls during August                  while January is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wade Trail, and Brown Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Blue Lakes Campground is a great site to camp nearby. During the long summer days at Brown Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
