Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Near Brown Lake you discover delightful places like Bear Canyon, and the Wade Trail offers hiking at its best. Not much rainfall falls here at Brown Lake; most of the rain falls through August while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A quick trip to West Fork North Fork Purgatoire River right next door       to Brown Lake is a fine idea; Brown Park is a fine place here at Brown Lake. Brown Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Brown Lake get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Brown Lake. A perfect location to camp here at Brown Lake is Potato                  Patch Campground, and a magnificent close by hotel is Rio Cucharas Inn And Restaurant. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are really bountiful here at Brown Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Eldora; hiking is a popular thing to do around Brown Lake; Peaks Trail is a great local trail. All year is a magnificent time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you fancy the outdoors.
