Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Dreyfus Reservoir, and Gunnison River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Doughty Reservoir Dam is scenic and it's near Brockman Reservoirs; don't leave Brockman Reservoirs without first going for a hike along the East Leon       Trail. It is very dry here at Brockman Reservoirs ordinarily; March is when you get the most rain here while June is mostly the driest month. Summer at Brockman Reservoirs arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Brockman Reservoirs. There's great hiking along the Monument Trail, and dry warm beds                  await you at Rodeway Inn Delta. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Doughty Reservoir is close at hand, and after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Go for a hike on the Green Mountain Trail, and camping at Twin Lake Campground is always a pleasant experience. So much entertaining stuff to do at Brockman Reservoirs, so little time.
