Summertime highs at Broad Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 40's while Broad Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Camping is available at Prospect RV Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a good national park. If you came for an overnight stay South       Park Lodge and RV Park is a pleasant spot to camp; a fine place is Heyden Gulch. At Broad Lake you don’t see much precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Clear Creek, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Duke Lake. Broad Dam is a wonderful place near                  Broad Lake; the Mesa Trail offers hiking at its best. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some great whitewater, and an afternoon playing golf at Applewood Golf Course is always a bliss. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some good people from Boulder here, and it's a brilliant idea to explore Moon Gulch. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Denver; Broad Lake is right by the Bear Peak Trail. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do near Broad Lake.
