Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clear Creek; the Bear Peak Trail offers hiking at its best. If you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some magnificent whitewater; Howard Johnson Denver West is a delightful spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do       around Broad Lake; Mesa Trail is a pleasant local trail, and you could always explore Heyden Gulch. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Broad Lake, too delightful to be true. Broad Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Prospect RV Park is a nice local campground; there are plenty of folks from Boulder here at Broad Lake. Yeah, come here to Broad Lake for a good time. Hyatt Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so                  wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn Denver Golden, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Applewood Golf Course. A great site to camp here at Broad Lake is South Park Lodge and RV Park; you can take a little journey to Broad Dam while you're here at Broad Lake. Broad Lake is a location that is relatively arid generally; most of the rain falls all through May, and the driest month is January. There's good hiking along the Beaver Brook Trail, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a very good place to pop by. High temperatures at Broad Lake all through the summertime are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
