It's always fun to stop by Brainard Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Left Hand Reservoir, and fine hiking is available along the Brainard Lake Trail. | | If you came for an overnight stay Mitchell Creek Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and don't leave Brainard Lake without first going for a hike along the Niwot Cut-Off Trail. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Berthoud Pass; there's pleasant hiking along the Little Raven Trail. Winter Park has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff, and Best Western Lodge At Nederland is a good spot to get some rest.

so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boulder Creek - South, and Rocky Mountain National Park is a nice site close by.
Around Brainard Lake you don’t get
a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is February. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 70's at Brainard Lake with overnight lows in the 40's.
During the winter the highs are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Brainard Lake. Be careful coming to Brainard Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. The scenery at Long Lake Dam
close to Brainard Lake is pretty; after a long day outdoors Stone Mountain Lodge And Cabins is a good site to spend a night or two.
