Hiking along the Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail is delightful fun, and Spruce Lodge Resort is a pleasant spot to get some rest. Take a hike on the Lily Lake Trail, and you can stay the night at Aspen Trails Campgrounds. Very good water scenery is available at Boyd Dam close to Boyd Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Creek Side Bed & Breakfast is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.       Not much rain falls here at Boyd Reservoir; October is when you get the most rain here; January on the other hand is the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Boyd Reservoir. There's whitewater on Kannah Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; you can hit the slopes at Powderhorn in close proximity. Summertime highs at Boyd Reservoir usually tend to be in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs through the winter                  are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Boyd Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gunnison River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Boyd Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Kiser Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
