You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Boyd Reservoir. A lake close by is Womack Reservoirs, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Boyd Reservoir; Cottonwood Lakes Foot Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Kannah Creek in a kayak. Not much precipitation falls here at Boyd Reservoir;       the month with most of the rain is October while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place to camp here at Boyd Reservoir is Aspen Trails Campgrounds, and a day on the slopes of Powderhorn is just what you need. For the period of the days of summer at Boyd Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Through the wintertime the                  highs are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Boyd Reservoir are in the 10's. You can take a little trip to Boyd Dam while you're here at Boyd Reservoir, and camping is available at Kiser Creek Campground. Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a good site to get some rest, and paddling on Gunnison River is so much fun.
