Box Elder Reservoir Number 2 is a lake worth visiting. Coal Ridge Dam is wonderful and it's right next door to Box Elder Reservoir Number 2; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Yampa River. At Box Elder Reservoir Number 2 you don’t see much rain; during the month of October you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Box Elder Reservoir Number 2 during the summertime are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
