These mountains rock, just check out all the fun things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Why not camp at Cebolla Campground since you're here at Bowers Lakes, and the Devils Hole Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. Not far from Bowers Lakes you acquire some delightful water scenery at Bowers Lakes Dam, and do stop at Rock Creek since you're here at Bowers Lakes. Bowers Lakes is located in the San Juan       and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Bar Gulch is a great spot to go if you're at Bowers Lakes. Going for a hike on the Cebolla Trail is always a brilliant adventure; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Fork Gunnison River. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Bowers Lakes is a location that is quite dry generally; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. You clearly ought to love the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A lake nearby is Dry Lake, and drift down the rapids of Cebolla River in a kayak.
