This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Bowen Mountain can be made out from Bowen Lake, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Ruby Lake is a glorious lake in close proximity to Bowen Lake, and do take a hike on the Bowen Trail. A nice place to camp here at Bowen Lake is       Winding River Resort; Bowen Pass is a nice site to take a look at. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do near Bowen Lake. Camping is available at Teller City Campground, and you can run the rapids of Willow Creek. While you're here at Bowen Lake you can take a hike along the Mineral Point Trail, and the snow is splendid at Berthoud Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Wolverine Trail; a wonderful place for                  whitewater paddling is Cache La Poudre River. It is very dried up here at Bowen Lake regularly; most of the rain falls throughout May, and January on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Bowen Lake through the summer are in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's; night lows through the winter for Bowen Lake tend to be in the 0's.
