After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Glenwood Springs is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; good hiking is available along the Oyster Lake Trail. Big Fish Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Fayville Trail. The warmest time of the year at Boulder Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's.       When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Boulder Lake through the winter typically plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Little Marvine Peaks can be observed from Boulder Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Boulder Lake; Bailey Lake Trail is a glorious local trail. Boulder Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Shepherds Rim Campground is a nice                  local campground. There's so much to do here at Boulder Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Himes Peak Campground is a delightful place for that. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Boulder Lake. Bessies Falls is always fun to check out, and White River - North Fork has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby. Boulder Lake is mostly a rather dehydrated spot; during October this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
