If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sawatch       Range. Middle Fork South Arkansas River is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at, and there's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you adrenaline junkies. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range. Nearby Columbus Gulch is a good location to go if you're at Boss Lake Reservoir, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Buena Vista Super 8 Motel. The Quakey Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and Hunt Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Boss Lake Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. Boss Lake Reservoir is pretty dry generally; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is June. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Boss Lake Reservoir; Browns Creek Trail is a brilliant local trail.
