     This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Martinez Creek Trail, and Borns Lake Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Turkey Springs Campground is a tremendous local campground. Don't forget to take a glorious little journey to Dutton Creek, and float down the rapids of San Juan River in a kayak. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Borns Lake Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Fairfield Pagosa  
   Resort is a brilliant choice, and while you're here, you might as well stop by Stevens Draw.
This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Pagosa Springs Golf Club not far from Borns Lake Reservoir, and Lake Forest Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs is a splendid place to spend a night or two, needless to say you could also have a look at Bramwell Reservoir Number 2 if you're here;
 
               it's not far at all. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Fourmile Stock Trail. There's so much to do here at Borns Lake Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Happy Camper RV Park is a wonderful spot for that.
Around Borns Lake Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain while June is ordinarily the driest month. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Borns Lake Reservoir reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...
