Boot Lake is always a pleasure to visit. On a splendid day at Boot Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Creek Trail; the skiing at Vail is perfect. You're most likely keen on lakes, Rainbow Lake is one of those close by, and of course York Creek flows through this vicinity. Yeah, come here to Boot Lake for a perfect time. Lakes are great; Upper Turquoise Lake is a lake that's near Boot Lake. This lake is so wonderful. is down it falls down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Boot Lake. Boot Lake is located in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the good
whitewater of Eagle River, and if you need a spot to stay The Pines Lodge is a great choice. It is very waterless here at Boot Lake commonly; most of the rain falls throughout July, and the driest month is February. And that's not
all the things to do here in the Sawatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at Hyatt Mountain Lodge, and while you're here you can take a hike along the New York Mountain Trail.

LEDE Reservoir
 | 15 miles away Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |

 | 19 miles away We had a great time hiking to Upper Piney Lake over 4th of July weekend, 2006. Although the views are out of this world, the hike will take everything out of you that you've got. I would highly recommend this hike. Make sure you have everything you need for AT LEAST 2 days. The hike to Upper Piney will take 8 hours (all up hill)...But only 4 hours to get back to Piney River Ranch.... |
