Get drenched paddling on Kannah Creek, and don't leave Bolen Reservoir without first checking out Lands End. A great nearby hotel is Wine Country Inn. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bolen Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Glacier Spring Campground. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Whitewater Basin Trail, and a lake nearby       is Somerville-McCullah Reservoir. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Coal Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Spring Camp Trail, and Bolen Reservoir is a site with many visitors from Grand Junction. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Powderhorn, and at Bolen Dam in the vicinity of Bolen Reservoir there are some attention-grabbing things to see. Bolen Reservoir is a great place to visit                  for more than one day, Jumbo Reservoir Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Kannah Creek. Bolen Reservoir is generally a rather waterless location; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January. Summertime highs at Bolen Reservoir regularly tend to be in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Bolen Reservoir.
