After a long day outdoors Hawthorn Suites - Longmont/Boulder, Co is a fine location to spend a night or two, and glide down the rapids of Big Thompson River in a kayak. Not much rainfall falls here at Blue Mountain Reservoir; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking along the Jug Trail is good fun.       Paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North is so much fun, and Bellmire Reservoir is a great lake nearby. At Blue Mountain Reservoir through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Blue Mountain Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Blue Mountain Reservoir that                  you need to camp here for a while, Carter Valley Campgrounds is a brilliant place for that, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Saddle Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Blue Mountain Reservoir you always meet someone from Boulder, and Blue Mountain Reservoir is right by the Round Mountain Trail. A journey to Rocky Mountain National Park is worthwhile, and Culver Gulch is a delightful spot to spend some time. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Blue Mountain Reservoir has it all. You can take a little spree to Culver Dam if you're here at Blue Mountain Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Mountain Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Longmont Koa Kampground.
