A visit to Blue Lakes is always a good idea. Around Blue Lakes you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Upper Blue Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and why not camp at Beaver Creek Campground since you're here at Blue Lakes. A magnificent nearby hotel is Skier's Edge Lodge, and Blue Lakes is not far at all from Silverthorne.

| | so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Tenmile Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and Lincoln Amphitheatre is a perfect spot to stretch your legs a bit. Just can't get enough of Blue Lakes. For the period of the months of summer at Blue Lakes temperatures are typically in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Blue Lakes plunge | |

into the-10's.
But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Blue Lakes. After a long day outdoors Ski Side Condominiums is a great location to spend a night or two, and a wonderful site to camp here at Blue Lakes is Kite
Lake Campground. Gotta ski! Crested Butte is a great place to do that, and do take a hike on the Wheeler Trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Breckenridge; hiking along the Burro Trail is great fun.
This lake is
so wonderful. The peak of North Star Mountain can be made out from Blue Lakes, and going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Crystal Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River.
