While you're here at Blue Lakes you can take a hike along the Dallas Trail, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mineral Creek - South. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. San Miguel River is a glorious whitewater spot in close proximity to Blue Lakes, and you can hit the slopes at Silverton nearby. you could also have a look at close by Thorne Lake. This location, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things. The vista of scenic Dallas Peak near Blue Lakes is good, and a lake close by is Silver
Lake. Have a good hiking adventure along the Deep Creek Trail; camping is available at Ouray Koa Kampground. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A perfect location to camp here at Blue Lakes is Sunshine Campground, and there's
no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Telluride. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 80's at Blue Lakes while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter
highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Blue Lakes through the wintertime mostly fall into the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at The Victorian Inn, and hiking along the Blue Lakes Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake Pass is a great spot to stop at close by, and Mill Creek Basin is a tremendous location.
