This lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Blue Lakes is Bear Lake Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Indian Trail. If you adore the outdoors, you'll go for Blue Lakes. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Bear Lake is one of those close by; you get a delightful view of Steep Mountain from here. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn       Walensburg, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Indian Creek Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Blue Lakes is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Lakes Campground is a splendid local campground. Lakes are glorious; Wolf Lake is a lake that's near Blue Lakes. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Eldora; on a                  glorious day you can take a hike along the Peaks Trail. All through the warm days of summer at Blue Lakes temperatures are mostly in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Blue Lakes temperatures fall to the-10's. Blue Lakes is pretty waterless usually; most of the rain falls during August while January is frequently the driest month.
