Take a hike on the Indian Creek Trail, and Wolf Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. While you're here at Blue Lakes, you could also have a look at picturesque Bear Lake; Knights Inn Walsenburg is a glorious place to get some rest. Not much precipitation falls here at Blue Lakes; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. That right       there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Indian Trail; if you came to camp Blue Lakes Campground is a pleasant location to do that. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Eldora, and a splendid vista of pretty Steep Mountain is available. At Blue Lakes through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime                  highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; overnight lows in the-10's for Blue Lakes. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
