Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the High Trail, and do pop by Heart Lake Dam since you're here. Blue Lake is not the only spot close by, Bull Park Reservoir is a close by lake, and if you need a place to stay Oak Tree Inn Yampa is a delightful choice. East Coal Creek flows through this vicinity, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Ute Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Trapline Campground       is a nice campground here, and do take a hike on the South Derby Trail. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Blue Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Blue Lake are in the 0's. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Blue Lake is peerless!
